Ford
Motor Company developed a coding system for just about
everything it produced. Generally, the "A" or "B" applies to 28/29
production, and 30/31 production, respectively.
In four door cars, "A" indicates the '28/'29 Murray body,
"B" indicates '28/29 Briggs body, "C" indicates
'30/early '31 Murray body, and "D" indicates '30/early
'31 Briggs body.
